moniliform (adjective; variant spelling: monilioid) – beaded; joined together like a string or chain of beads or pearls; i. e., regularly constricted and composed of globose cells; typically used to describe hyphae, especially paraphyses; e. g., in several species of the genus Aspicilia. Related terms: catenuliform.
