flagellate (adjective) – literally: bearing one or several flagella; also: one of several main types of cell organization, i. e., referring to a single cell that is typically not naked (usually covered by a cell wall) and characterized by at least one flagellum. Related terms: isokont, heterokont, opisthokont. Kind of:cell organization-type.
