amoeboid (adjective) – literally: resembling an amoeba. One of several main types of cell organization: single-celled, lacking a cell wall (naked), motile by the formation of pseudopodia or rhizopodia; uni- or multinucleate. Related terms: acrasioid, plasmodial. Kind of:cell organization-type.
