fimbriate (adjective) – delicately fringed, fringed with fibers, lined with a fibrous margin; typically referring to a delicate mycelium around the edge of a thallus, e. g., a pro- or hypothallus. Related terms: arachnoid, ecorticate, fimbrillate.
