Cyanotrophy

cyanotrophy (noun, pl. cyanotrophies) – a process by which nutrients are derived from cyanobacteria; more specifically sometimes used to describe loose associations of chlorolichens with cyanobacteria that are not generally involved in the lichen symbiosis, but instead are accessory photobionts. Related terms: photobiont.
