Coccoid

coccoid (adj.) – literally: shaped like a small sphere. One of several main types of cell organization: single-celled, covered by a cell wall, not motile: without flagella, rhizopodia or pseudopodia; typically applied to single-celled photobiont cells (cf. chlorococcoid, chroococcoid).
