Primary spore wall

primary spore wall (pl. primary wall) – the first wall layer that becomes can be distinguished during spore wall development inside the inter-membrane space between the outer ascospore investing membrane and the inner spore plasma membrane; during spore wall ontogeny a secondary wall soon can bee distinguished towards the inside and the primary wall then lies at the outside of the spore.
