pseudoparenchyma (noun,no plural; synonym: paraplectenchyma) – cells that are secondarily aggregated very closely into a pseudotissue, with the individual cells secondarily fused into distinct cell layers that looks similar if not identical to true tissue (parenchyma), but are not the result of organized meristematic growth. Related terms: plectenchyma, parenchyma, true tissue. Kind of:tissue-type.
