pallisade plectenchyma (noun,no plural) – a plectenchyma that is superficially similar to a pallisade parenchyma in a vascular plant leaf. The term refers to strongly parallel oriented hyphae that rarely branch or overlap. Hyphae of a pallisade parenchyma frequently branch apically into a fountain-shaped manner (especially in the Lichinaceae). Kind of:tissue-type.
