ocular chamber (noun,ascus term, pl. ocular chambers) – a wide, finger-like protrusion of the epiplasm into the apical region of the ascus, flanked by the bourrelet; often not very obvious in iodine, but seen more clearly in lactophenol cotton blue. This is:part of ascus.
