propagule (noun, pl. propagules; synonym: diaspore) – any reproductive structure, whether sexual (generative) or asexual (somatic, vegetative); restricted by some authors to somatic propagules, i. e., thallus fragments capable of propagating (e. g., isidia, soredia, phyllidia, phyllocladia, etc.). This is:part of upper thallus surface. Kind of:upper surface structure.
