Hypha
hypha (noun, pl. hyphae) – a row of fungal cells forming a microscopic cell filament, either subdivided by septa into cells that remain connected through septal pores, or, coenocytic, i. e., forming a filamentous siphon delimited on the outside by a common cell wall but not subdivided from septa into distinctly separate cells. Hypha represents one of two types of cell organization how somatic (= vegetative, assimilative) fungal cells may grow, the other main type being yeasts. Kind of:cell organization-type.
