Budding

budding (noun, no plural) – the production of daughter cells not by typical cell division but lateral outgrowth from the mother cell; typical for yeasts, rarely also forming mycelia. – (adj.) – sprouting, protruding, "yeast-like" outgrowth forming globular structures.
