Hemiangiocarpous

hemiangiocarpous (adjective; variant spelling: hemiangiocarpic) – initially with an enclosed development of the sporocarp, but opening before maturity; during the ontogeny usually enclosed by a proper exciple and a layer of thallus hyphae, i. e., a pseudoexciple; characteristic for many lichenized ascomycetes, e. g., the Peltigeraceae and Stictaceae.
