Arctic zone

arctic zone (noun,biogeography term,no plural) – (1) geographical: the region of the earth's surface lying north of the northern polar circle; (2) floristic: the northernmost zone; vegetation without trees, dominated by small shrubs, cushion forming plants, mosses and lichens (tundra). Kind of:floristic zone.
