Aspicilioid

aspicilioid (adjective) – describing an emergent lecanorine apothecium that resemble a volcano, i. e., one that emerges from the thallus by forming a distinctly conical mount with a deeply recessed apothecial disk and a thalline margin forming a progressively declining slope; typically formed in some species of Aspicilia (thus the name), but present also in other lichenized ascomycetes.
