Continental

continental (adjective) – (1) in general: from a continent; (2) floristic: distributed towards the interior (of a continent); (3) climatic: influenced by the climatic effect of large land masses; interior climates of the continents are generally characterized by more extreme temperature fluctuations, i. e., they have cold winters and hot summers.
