Coralloid

coralloid (adjective; synonym: coralliform) – like a coral, divided into many short, irregular, cylindrical, often brittle branches; coralloid isidia of Pertusaria can be quite tall (over 5 mm), dichotomous or monopodially branched, with numerous, short, esorediate ramifications that resemble much smaller, ecorticate isidioid soredia formed from soralia.
