distribution (noun,biogeography term, pl. distributions) – a spatial or temporal array of values or objects (e. g., individual organisms, populations etc.) obtained from observation or measurement during an experiment; e. g., the geographic distribution of organisms or populations within an area or region, or throughout their geographic range. Related terms: abundance, rarity, scarcity, floristic kingdom, distribution area, distribution limit, distribution pattern.
