excluded (adjective) – crowded back, becoming reduced, shut out, becoming eliminated; an ontogenetical term describing the growth process of a proper or thalline margin to be pushed aside from a swelling disk that becomes strongly convex, in anatomical sections the excipular hyphae usually remain distinct, even though they are usually compressed into a thin layer; opposite: persistent.
