Guttule

guttule (noun, ascospore term,spore morphology term, pl. guttules) – storage lipids seen with a microscope as oil droplets inside cells. Adding a clearing agent like 5-10 % KOH can be used to dissolve these guttules. Related terms: biguttulate, guttulate.
