Maculiform

maculiform (adjective) – forming orbicular to ± irregular patches (originating from or in the shape of maculae); (1) shaped like a dot (related term: punctiform, which, however, generally refers to smaller, more tiny spots); (2) referring to a type of small, rounded, flattened, laminal soralium, as in Phaeophyscia orbicularis.
