Micrometre

micrometre (noun, pl. micrometres; American spelling: sl. micrometer, pl. micrometers; short form: sl. micron, pl. microns; international symbol: µm) – one thousandth of a millimetre, one millionth of a metre (0.001 mm = 10-6 m).
