Periphysoid

periphysoid (noun, pl. periphysoids;ascocarp term) – a short, rarely branched hyphae originating from above like a pseudoparaphysis, but not reaching all the way down between the asci; generally longer than periphyses and not strictly confined to the ostiolar canal.
