Serpentine

serpentine (noun, pl. serpentines;ecology term,Substrate term) – a rock consisting predominantly of hydrous magnesia silicate; usually with an opaque green colour, frequently with mottled appearance and thus resembling a serpent's skin; precious, gem-stone quality serpentine is ± translucent and has a rich deep green colour.
