Tautonym

tautonym (noun, pl. tautonyms;nomenclature term) – a repetitive name; e. g., Bufo bufo (for the Common Toad); tautonyms for naming species are accepted in the Zoological Code, but not allowed in the Botanical Code, however, tautonyms are automatically generated for varieties, forms and subspecies, see autonym.
