Jump to: navigation, search

vegetation (noun, biogeography term, pl. vegetations) – (1) all plant growth across a geographic region; (2) the plant life in a particular area, the plants or plant-like organisms that can be observed to grow at a particular site. Often used in a similar sense as flora, but not necessarily referring to a particular geographic region. Instead, vegetation is used to refer to any site where plants or plant-like organisms grow; e. g., the vegetation on the hills, the vegetation along the river.
