From LIAS Glossary
Revision as of 02:00, 7 December 2005 by F. Bungartz & G. Hagedorn (Talk)
gelatinized (adjective) – curdled, congealed, coagulated, with the consistency of jelly or jam, i. e., a stiffened mucilage -- like a jelly, rubbery, slimy, translucent, swelling when wet; in the gelatinous growth form the thallus is homoimerous (unstratified), and the distinctions among crustose, foliose and fruticose are often blurred.
