Fissural soralium

fissural soralium (noun, pl. fissural soralia) – a soralium opening from a vertical split in the cortex; forming discrete, more or less oblong fusiform areas with the long axis parallel to the branch, e. g., in some Bryoria spp. Kind of: soralium.
