Inner exciple

inner exciple (noun, pl. inner exciples;ascocarp term) – more or less equivalent with the lower exciple, i. e., the hypothecium, but more commonly used to describe differentiation throughout the lateral part of the proper exciple, e. g., a proper exciple may be differentiated into a dark ectal exciple, a hyaline central exciple and a hypothecium radiates from below into the inner exciple. This is:part of ascocarp.
