Semi immersed

semi-immersed (adjective) – halfway immersed; usually referring to ascocarp or conidiomata that are emergent, i. e., in the process of becoming sessile, however, some ascocarps or conidiomata do not become sessile even at maturity and remain at least partially sunken into the thallus.
