Thallus margin

thallus margin (noun, pl. thallus margins) – the bordering area along the side or front of thallus subunits such as areoles, squamules, lobes or branches; the edge and the area immediately adjacent to it. Related terms: edge, rim, margin, lobe, sinus, sulca.
