True exciple

true exciple (noun, pl. true exciples;ascocarp term) – see proper exciple; a term sometimes preferred instead of "proper exciple" to emphasize that only this layer is truly part of the exciple sensu stricto; also used to avoid an inappropriate connotation of the word "proper" in the sense of "propriety", "respectable" or "decent". This is:part of ascocarp.
