Verrucule

verrucule (noun, pl. verrucules) – diminutive of verruca; e. g., in Usnea, referring to minute pimple-like structures gradually raised from the surface, with the tips becoming perforated, often budding into a fibril or soredium. This is:part of thallus surface.
