humid (adjective) – moist, not dry, but not saturated with water either; typically referring to the relative humidity of the habitat; often applied to habitats characterized by moderately high rainfall, but more correctly applied to all sources of water, like dewfall, air humidity, etc. Related terms: xeric, arid, mesic, wet.
