Inflated

inflated (adjective) – swollen, distended, blown up, often hollow; in foliose lichens (e. g., Hypogymnia and Menegazzia) and to a much lesser extent some placodioid lichens (Lecanora garovaglii complex) the lower cortex is often separated by a space from the upper cortex and medulla, especially at the puffed out tips. inflated / globular / tubular: unusual fruticose modification of vagrant, originally foliose lichens.
