Lobate

lobate (adjective) – lobed along the thallus margin; referring to crustose lichens with elongated marginal areoles similar in appearance to the lobes of a foliose thallus but usually directly attached to the substrate with most of the lower side; the thallus lobation of crustose lichens can be regular (forming a placodioid thallus) or irregular in outline.
