Thelotremoid
thelotremoid (adjective) – poriform, urceolate lecanorine, in contrast to a pertusarioid apothecium typically referring to a fruit wart, where the thalline exciple and proper exciple are not adherent, i. e., the thalline exciple often does not much contribute to the urceolate, poriform structure, but the proper exciple forms a distinct inner rim or papery layer that frequently almost entirely covers the disk and sometimes does not open with a distinct pore, but instead appears torn; typically formed in several species of Thelotrema (thus the name), but present also in other lichenized ascomycetes. Related terms: fruit wart, pertusarioid, poriform.
