Interascal pseudoparenchyma
interascal pseudoparenchyma (noun,no plural;ascocarp term) – a plectenchyma of interascal or pre-ascal hyphae developing during an ascolocular development, lining the locules into which the ascogeneous hyphae grow and differentiate into asci; unlike the net-like plectenchyma of paraphysoids formed by agglutinate hyphae with large, almost isodiametric cells and thus appearing similar in structure to a true parenchyma.
